
Andrea Thompson
Andrea Thompson has been a consultant and programme leader for 12 years. She has assisted many public and private sector organisations to discover their purpose and values, create an engaging vision, and develop people to reach their full potential. Andrea has led development programmes to over ten thousand people nationally and internationally. There are few people who can rival Andrea in terms of her ability to engage programme participants and her powerful delivery of programme content.
Prior to co-founding Catapult in 1998, Andrea was a senior manager in a multinational both in New Zealand and in the US. In this role she gained practical first hand experience in the challenges and opportunities involved with leading and managing people.
Andrea began her working life as a lawyer for Chapman Tripp before becoming a management consultant with KPMG, specialising in organisational culture change. She also has a performance background having been a theatresports and dance performer - this means she brings fun and entertainment to the delivery of programmes.
Nick Sceats
Nick started his working life as a business journalist. It was soon apparent to him that that he wanted to work in business rather than report on it. He worked in marketing and communications roles before becoming General Manger of multi national advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather. His leadership lessons and education began there. It progressed when he moved to the US as Vice President and strategic planner for Porter Novelli San Francisco during the internet boom.
In 1998 he returned to NZ and co-founded Catapult with Andrea Thompson. Since that time he has worked with many clients helping them define their purpose, values and vision, and facilitating the development of business strategy. He continues to do brand work with an emphasis on making sure brand promises and service delivery are aligned. Nick co-lead's Catapult Leadership programmes with Andrea.
Nick plays tennis and guitar and surfs badly. In recent years he has made an annual pilgrimage to Rotorua to complete the Rotorua marathon.
John Boyd
John joined Catapult having spent many years as a senior manager in the public sector. His leadership experience covers corporate strategy, marketing and communications, stakeholder management, human resources, policy, research, knowledge management, organisational development and change management.
As a part of the Catapult team, John's attention is on leadership development, business strategy, marketing strategy, brand promise fulfillment, team development and fostering creativity and innovation in business.
In his spare time he maintains his widely-visited website www.sportsthinker.com, throws sticks for Cosmo and writes stories and screenplays.
